Gujarat chief minister and president of the state cricket association, Narendra Modi will not be a part of the inaugural ceremony of the newly-constructed JSCA International Stadium Complex to be held here on Friday.

“He (Modi) is pre-occupied and hence would not be able to make it here,” Jharkhand State Cricket Association secretary Rajesh Verma told PTI.

Jharkhand Governor Syed Ahmed will be the chief guest on the occasion, while BCCI dignitaries, including BCCI president N.Srinivasan, would also be present at the ceremony that will be held at 4 pm tomorrow.

The newly-built stadium will host its first international fixture when India take on England in the third ODI of the five-match series on Saturday.
