Jadeja wants more

December 29, 2013 12:19 am | Updated November 29, 2021 01:12 pm IST - Durban:

Ravindra Jadeja was a happy man having claimed four South African wickets in the second Test in Durban on Saturday.

“People used to say that I get wickets only in India and actually I was dreaming about getting wickets in these conditions.

“I have got four and hopefully I will get a five-for,” the left-arm spinner said.

“I bowled close to the off-stump and as for the left-hander there were some bowling marks and I could pitch on that. There was bounce and the ball also kept low at times.”

On the match situation, Jadeja added: “We need to bowl them out fast and bat well in the second innings.”

Alviro Petersen emphasised that time, or the lack of it, could be a factor that influences the game. “Time is always a factor in Durban because of bad light. First we need to beat their score and get as far as we can and then make them bat again. Ideally we should not be batting last on this pitch,” the South African opener said.
