‘DD a dangerous side’

Chennai Super Kings’ bowling coach Andy Bichel finds Delhi Daredevils a “dangerous” side that has “nothing to lose.”

Speaking to newspersons on the eve of CSK’s clash against the host at the Ferozeshah Kotla, Bichel picked the opening duo of Virender Sehwag and David Warner to come hard in order to resurrect their team’s prospects in the Indian Premier League.

“Daredevils will be looking to chase us hard. It is a dangerous side. There are no easy games in the competition,” said the Australian indicating that the host’s five successive losses may not have any bearing on Thursday’s clash.

Inconsistent

Bichel admitted that CSK had been inconsistent so far. “There is room for improvement. The new group is gelling together and getting used to one another.”

Bichel picked Albie Morkel as the “key player.” He said, “Albie brings lots of experience to the team. He is an in-form player and looked great in domestic T20 competition.”

Talking of Chris Morris, Bichel said, “He is a good asset to replace a guy like Ben Hilfenhaus. An exciting player, Chris delivered for Lions in the Champions League.”

In reply to another question, Bichel praised Royal Challengers Bangalore’s skipper Virat Kohli. He described Kohli as a “young leader” and noted that his growth was “helping Indian cricket.”
