IPL GC ratifies Pune-related decisions

February 22, 2012 11:46 pm | Updated 11:46 pm IST - Mumbai:

The IPL Governing Council on Wednesday took stock of the operational aspects of the fifth edition set to start at Chennai on April 4.

“We have cleared pending issues and also scheduled the IPL VI 2013 from April 3 to May 26. The Council also ratified decisions in connection with Pune Warriors' participation in the IPL.

“With regard to they (Pune Warriors) being allowed to field overseas players in a match, Sahara Indian Pariwar has to take consent from the other eight team owners and revert to the BCCI.

“This has been made clear in the joint statement. We have not pondered (for the inclusion) of an additional team for IPL 2013,'' said Rajiv Shukla, Chairman, IPL GC. — Special Correspondent
