The issue concerns a protest from Mumbai Cricket Association, seeking clarification for the reasons behind the change in venue from the Wankhede stadium to the Chinnaswamy stadium in in Bangalore.

Sunil Gavaskar, BCCI interim president for IPL affairs, said no decision had been taken on the venue for the final of this year’s tournament.

“No decision was taken,” he said, to queries from media persons at the board headquarters on Tuesday about the venue for the final.

The issue concerns a protest from Mumbai Cricket Association, seeking clarification in writing for the reasons behind the change in venue from the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai to the Chinnaswamy stadium in in Bangalore.

He also said the BCCI would issue a media release as soon as a decision was arrived at.

With no reply coming forth from the latter so far, the local association officials did not schedule a meeting.
