Indrajith hits century again

B. Indrajith followed up his century against Punjab ‘A’ at Dindigul with a valuable 133 against Baroda ‘A’ in the C.K. Nayudu Trophy Elite ‘A’ match at the IC-Guru Nanak ground here on Friday.

Tamil Nadu ‘A’, which had opted to bat, finished day one at 285 for five. Batting at No. 4, the in-form Indrajith faced 235 deliveries and struck 13 fours and two sixes.

The host was in some trouble at 73 for three before Indrajith and skipper Aswin Venkatraman (85, 169b, 9x4, 2x6) raised 183 runs in 57 overs for the fourth wicket to lift Tamil Nadu ‘A’ in this four-day game.

For Baroda ‘A’, medium-pacer Abhijit Karambelkar scalped three.
