India warmed up for the semifinals of the SBI T20 World Cup for the Blind in fine fashion, routing South Africa by 288 runs in its final league game at the Aditya Global Sports ground here on Monday.
Ganesh Bushara (80 n.o.), Dunna Venkatesh (79) and Hitesh Bhai Patel (72) struck rapid half-centuries to lead the home side to 355 in its 20 overs. South Africa, in response, was dismissed for a paltry 67.
In one semifinal on Wednesday, India will face Sri Lanka, who advanced after thrashing Bangladesh by 248 runs. In the other, Pakistan will meet England after the latter defeated West Indies in its last league game.
