India fined for slow over-rate in WC final

The victorious India team has been fined for slow over-rate during the ICC World Cup final here on Saturday.

The side was ruled to be one over short after the time allowances were taken into consideration. Match Jeff Crowe fined the players 10 per cent of match fee while skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was docked 20 per cent.

Given the magnitude of its triumph, this is a small price to pay for the Indian team.
