The Indian and the Australian cricket teams, scheduled to play the second Test match at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium from March 2, arrived in Hyderabad on Wednesday amidst unprecedented security.

The two teams, which arrived at the Hyderabad Airport around 10.00 am, were escorted in a convoy of about 10 police vehicles. Even at the hotel, the security personnel did not let mediapersons in citing ‘instructions from the higher-ups’ as part of the heightened security measures taken in the wake of the recent twin blasts in Dilsukhnagar.

The two teams will be training on Thursday at the Test match venue.
