ICC cricket panel meet from today

May 14, 2015 10:25 pm | Updated May 16, 2015 02:18 am IST - Mumbai:

The much-debated issue of balance between bat and ball across all formats of the game will dominate the ICC Cricket Committee meeting here on Friday and Saturday.

Other issues announced by the ICC are ICC playing conditions, including World Cup review, the use of technology in umpiring, code of conduct, including player behaviour and illegal bowling actions.

Fielding restrictions

The fielding restrictions in limited-over cricket may undergo a change in order to give some advantage to the bowlers. India’s Anil Kumble is the chairman of the cricket committee.

Others attendees would be N. Srinivasan (ICC chairman, ex-officio), David Richardson (ICC chief executive, ex-officio), Mark Taylor (past player representative), Laxman Sivaramakrishnan (current player representative), Darren Lehmann (Australia coach, full member team coach representative), Clare Connor (former England women’s team captain), Ravi Shastri (media representative), Steve Davis (member of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires), Ranjan Madugalle (ICC chief match referee), John Stephenson (MCC Head of Cricket) and David Kendix (statistician/scorer, statistician representative).
