Setting all rumours to the rest, former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir on Thursday confirmed his participation in the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Gambhir, who captained the Kolkata Knight Riders to the title last year, has been suffering from mild jaundice. This had created doubts about his participation in the IPL.

“I am available for the IPL. It’s a mild jaundice, hoping to be good in 4-5 days time,” Gambhir tweeted.

The left-hander missed the last two matches for Delhi in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy due to illness and also missed a chance to return to the Indian national side after being selected to replace injured Shikhar Dhawan for the fourth and final Test match against Australia starting on Friday at New Delhi.
