Indian opener Gautam Gambhir will miss the third and final cricket Test match against Sri Lanka to attend his sister’s wedding.
The national selectors met here on Friday and retained the same squad for the Mumbai Test starting on December 2.
“Gambhir will not be available for the Test on account of his sister’s wedding on December 3,” Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a statement.
Gambhir had been in fine form and struck centuries in both Tests against Sri Lanka. He hit 114 at Ahmedabad and 167 at Green Park here.
