Police have arrested four bookies involved in betting over the final outcome of the ongoing World T20 in Bangladesh.

Police Commissioner Parmjit Singh Gill told mediapersons on Tuesday that one mini-telephone exchange, 36 mobile phones and cash to the tune of Rs. 35,000 has been recovered from them by a raiding party.

They were operating at a house situated at Basant Colony in Ludhiana.

They were nabbed when they were found betting for the match played between New Zealand and South Africa, he said.
