Persistent rain prevented a single delivery from being bowled on the first day of the four-day Ranji Trophy Super League Group B match between Tamil Nadu and Baroda at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium here on Thursday.
Umpires K. Hariharan and Bharti Vij called off play soon after tea following three inspections of the ground.
