Centurion Shikhar Dhawan is thrilled that he was able to come out on top in his battle with Afghanistan’s premier bowler Rashid Khan.
“I enjoyed my battle with Rashid. I dominated him, so I really enjoyed it (laughs). But Rashid is a great bowler. On his day, he can take some serious wickets,” Dhawan said here on Thursday.
Facing Rashid in the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) nets helped a great deal, Dhawan stated. “I didn’t plan to attack Rashid, but I went with the flow. The advantage I had was that I have faced him in the SRH nets. I was used to his bowling. That helped me.”
The opener is feeling good about his form. “I came in with the same positive mindset that I had in the previous Tests, against Sri Lanka. I was in good touch in the IPL as well, so I carried that forward here,” Dhawan said.
