England has included four uncapped players in its provisional 30-man squad for the Champions Trophy in June, but there is no recall for test wicketkeeper Matt Prior to the limited-overs set-up.

Prior has again been overlooked for one-day action, with Craig Kieswetter, Jonny Bairstow and Jos Buttler being England’s options as wicketkeeper.

Batsmen Gary Ballance and Varun Chopra and bowlers James Harris and Chris Wright are the new faces to the group, which will be trimmed to 15 by May 5.

Kevin Pietersen is included despite being sidelined with a knee injury.

England hosts the Champions Trophy, which runs from June 6-23.

National selector Geoff Miller says “there will be every incentive for England to perform well and we anticipate intense competition for places in our final squad.”
