Dhoni whistles 50th IPL win for CSK

Twice ICC World Cup-winning captain (2007 Twenty20 and 2011 50-over) Mahendra Singh Dhoni recorded his 50th win as captain of the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.

CSK, which has won the IPL twice, has played 87 matches, won 51, lost 34, and tied one match. It was also involved in an abandoned match.

Suresh Raina has led CSK three times. Following Dhoni is Gautam Gambhir who has 31 wins for Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders together.

Adam Gilchrist (Deccan Chargers and Kings XI Punjab), Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne have played only for Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals and have notched up 30 wins each. Tendulkar has relinquished captaincy and Warne has given up playing the IPL. Virender Sehwag who has played only for the Daredevils has 28 wins.
