India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said here on Friday the 49th and 50th overs India bowled were “quite bad”.
Ishant Sharma conceded 20 in the 49th and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar 18 in the 50th.
“We knew that the last 10 overs would be crucial with only four fielders allowed outside the 30-yard circle. You find the gap and it will be a four.
“It was certainly not a 325 wicket, but 280 or 290 wicket,” said Dhoni before the power in the media conference room and press box was shut down to allow for the laser show for the spectators.
“Shall I leave? I think I have answered most of the questions,” said Dhoni in pitch dark conditions in the conference room.
Dhoni also said he was not aware about Shami Ahmed’s skills to bowl on flat wickets, especially yorkers. “Dinda has the experience and bowls yorker-length deliveries,” he said.
