Chiranjeevi, Sharma shine

An unbeaten 58 by G. Chiranjeevi for Andhra was the highlight of the penultimate day of the Col. C.K. Nayudu (under-25) knockout match at Y.S. Raja Reddy Stadium at Kadapa, according to information reaching here on Monday.

Also shining with a four for 43 spell was K.V. Sharma for Railways ‘A’

At Hyderabad, a century by H.D. Anghan (101 batting, 11x4) helped Saurashtra score 287 for four in reply to Hyderabad’s first innings total of 326.

The other notable contributions came from P.I. Solanki (72, 6x4, 1x6) and C.S. Jani (56 batting, 3x4, 4x6).

The scores:At Vijayawada: Andhra ‘A’ 251 & 139 for five in 41 overs (G. Chiranjeevi 58 batting, N. Jyoti Sai Krishna 30, K. Srikanth 28, K.V. Sharma four for 43) vs. Railways ‘A’ 335 in 114.5 overs (S. Vignesh 140, P.I. Chowdary 69, K.V. Sharma 58, K. Bharat Reddy five for 109).

At Hyderabad: Hyderabad 326 vs Saurashtra 287 for four (P. I. Solanki 72, H.D. Anghan 101 batting, C.S. Jani 56 batting).
