Champions Trophy: Srinath to be match referee for first semi-final

India’s Javagal Srinath was on Tuesday appointed as match referee for the first Champions Trophy semifinal between England and South Africa at the Oval on Wednesday.

Kumar Dharmasena and Rod Tucker will be the on-field umpires while Bruce Oxenford and Steve Davis have been appointed as third and fourth umpires, respectively.

On Thursday, India and Sri Lanka clash in the second semi-final at Cardiff Wales Stadium. Richard Kettleborough and Aleem Dar will be the on-field umpires, with Nigel Llong and Ian Gould as third and fourth umpires, respectively.

The match referee will be Chris Broad.

June 19:England v South Africa (d), The Oval — Kumar Dharmasena and Rod Tucker (on—field umpires), Bruce Oxenford (third umpire), Steve Davis (fourth umpire), Javagal Srinath (referee).

June 20: India v Sri Lanka (d), Cardiff Wales Stadium —Richard Kettleborough and Aleem Dar (on—field umpires), Nigel Llong (third umpire), Ian Gould (fourth umpire), Chris Broad (referee).
