Australian paceman Nathan Bracken will not figure in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy. The left-arm paceman has been advised to return home to tend to a long-standing knee injury.
Australian physio Alex Kountouri said Bracken had been playing with discomfort in his right knee during the last few months but added the pain had now increased. The paceman will return to Australia to seek medical opinion on his future course of action.
Bracken has been an integral part of the Australian pace attack in the ODIs. His natural left-armer's angle, accuracy, and the ability to extract bounce with his height and high-arm action have swung several games in Australia's favour.
