The BCCI Working Committee will consider the Mohammad Azharuddin ban-related issue at an appropriate time.

Recently, the Andhra Pradesh High Court struck down BCCI’s life-time ban on charges of match-fixing.

A division bench of Justice Asutosh Mohanta and Justice G. Krishna Mohan Reddy observed that the BCCI had not followed proper procedure in the proceedings against Azharuddin.

“We have to see our records. We have plenty of time to look at the issue,” said a senior BCCI official.

Sources also said that the committee meeting here on Wednesday had also decided that more cricketers, or their widows, would be given one-off payment for their contribution to Indian cricket.
