Australia has been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during its nine-wicket victory over England in Friday’s ICC Champions Trophy semi-final at Centurion.

Match Referee Jeff Crowe imposed the penalty after Ricky Ponting’s side was ruled to be two overs short of its target after the time allowances were taken into consideration.

Ponting was fined 20 per cent of his match fee while his players received a 10 per cent fine.
