He and M. Kaushik Gandhi (80, 171b, 7x4) raised 175 for the second wicket in 51.3 overs. Karthick has so far made 664 runs in the season.
On a surface where wickets fell in quick succession, M. Vijay’s 95 (110b, 12x4, 2x6) enabled Jolly Rovers score 194 against Young Stars.
Left-arm spinner M. Suresh Babu finished with five for 58. Young Stars was 89 for five in reply with off-spinner M. Prabhu scalping three.
Alwarpet got to a rather healthy 326 for four against Grand Slam with Gowjith Subash contributing 97 (185b, 11x4, 4x6).
S. Karthik made 66 (145b, 8x4) while P. Deepak was unbeaten with 68 (77b, 8x4, 1x6).
