The current season Ranji Trophy has been marked by the first tournament after retirement for batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar. Eight teams- Jharkand, Karnataka, Saurashtra, Punjab, Mumbai, Baroda, Uttar Pradesh and services- play each other in the knockout stage of the Ranji Trophy for 2012-2013. Four teams sail into the semi-final clash on January 16, 2013.
