New Zealand cricketers will wear black armbands against Australia in their league game in Nagpur.

It is learnt that the Kiwis have made a request for the national flag to be flown at half-mast on matchday at the Vidarbha CA Stadium (Jamtha).

The team's pre-match training session is scheduled for Thursday morning, as per the ICC media advisory, and no news about any of the players leaving for Christchurch is announced yet.

It is learnt that three members of the NZ team support staff, including team physio have left for New Zealand in the hour of crisis. The team management is in the process of making arrangements to arrange for a physio.

Coach Wright was born in Christchurch, apart from him, opener Brendon McCullum also belongs to the quake-hit city.
