New Zealand Cricket said former South Africa fast bowler Allan Donald will join the national squad as a bowling consultant until after this year’s World Cup.
Donald, 44, recently finished a spell as head coach of Zimbabwean domestic side the Mountaineers and has previously worked with Warwickshire and England as a bowling coach.
He will join the New Zealand team on Thursday as part of a coaching staff headed by John Wright and will work with the players through their five-match ODI series against Pakistan, New Zealand Cricket said on Tuesday.
New Zealand Cricket chief executive Justin Vaughan said Donald’s extensive coaching experience will have a positive impact on the New Zealand team.
