Acharya Institute of Technology (AIT) registered a comfortable 85-run win over Oxford College of Engineering (OCE) in the Dr. M.S. Ramaiah memorial inter-engineering college cricket tournament at the Sir MVIT ground here on Friday.

Nitish made a fine 54 (7x4) before Shinoy John used the long handle to good effect (50, 6x4, 2x6) as AIT finished with 219 for five in 30 overs.

In reply, barring a sedate 30 from Mohd. Yaseen, Oxford was never really in the hunt and could only muster 134 for nine off its quota.

Host MSRIT, powered by a brilliant 95 by Ankit Vora, scored 201 for nine and then dismissed City College of Engg. for 142.

The scores:

MSRIT 201 for nine in 30 overs (Ankit Vora 95, Rahul Menon 38, Sai Nischal three for 26) bt CEC 142 in 25.4 overs (Prithvi 43, Dabeer three for 27).

BMSCE 91 in 27.5 overs (Omkar Hegde 33, Mukesh Gotti three for 17) lost to SBMJCE 93 for five in 17 overs (H.R. Abhishek 33, Rajaravi 35).
