Pakistan has recalled flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Afridi for the five one-day internationals and two Twenty20s against West Indies in the Caribbean this month.

Opener Ahmed Shahzad and middle-order batsman Umar Akmal also made comebacks on Wednesday, while Imran Farhat, Shoaib Malik and Kamran Akmal were dropped.

Chief selector Iqbal Qasim said Umar will also replace his older brother Kamran as wicketkeeper, while Afridi was recalled keeping in mind the slow wickets in West Indies.

Pakistan leaves for the Caribbean next week and will play its first ODI at Guyana on July 14.
