India ‘A’ and New Zealand ‘A’, after playing two drawn multi-day matches, are ready for the three one-day matches starting on Sunday at the ACA-VDCA stadium here.
New Zealand might have got used to the local conditions and pitches, but faces a new team in the limited overs format.
Leading the team in one-day matches, Unmukt Chand has pushed backed the poor show with his bat in the multi-day matches and is confident about him and the team doing well.
On 10 players replacing those in the squad for the multi-day matches, coach Sanjay Bangar finds no problem of the team being a unit.
Players are expected to try hard as the team for the series against West Indies ‘A’ in Bangalore will be announced soon.
Leg-spinner Ish Sodhi and left-handed all-rounder Corey Anderson were included in the New Zealand national team for the Bangladesh tour, and this should boost their morale. Andrew Ellis, one of the three players who came as replacements for the one-day matches and is leading the team now, said the players are working hard.
