Top seeds Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Frederico Gel and Marcelo Melo to make an early exit from the ATP Tunis Open in Tunisia.

The pair recovered well from the first set deficit but eventually lost the quarter-final encounter in the Super Tie-breaker 5-7 6-3 9-11.

This was Bopanna and Qureshi’s first match of the USD 125,000 clay court event as the duo had got a walkover in the first round.
