The Rotary Club of Madras Central recently presented Vocational Excellence Award to Dipika Pallikal, international squash player from Chennai. She is currently ranked No. 1 in India and No. 14 in the world. The award was presented by R. Nataraj, former DGP and the present Chariman, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.

Dipika Pallikal has been awarded the CM's award last year. She also won the prestigious NDTV 24/7 Rockstar Award for the best sportswoman 2011. She was selected as the best sportsperson 2011 by the Loreal Femina jury by popular vote beating Mary Kom and Saina Nehwal.
