Usain Bolt on Wednesday stormed into the 200 metres final where he seeks to complete successive Olympic sprint doubles in another duel with fellow Jamaican Yohan Blake.

Bolt strolled down the home stretch after a fast curve to win his semifinal in 20.18 seconds.

Bolt won the 100m, 200m and 4x100m golds in Beijing 2008 and has already beaten Blake for the 100m title in London. No other athlete has ever achieved successive sprint doubles at the Games.

Blake had the fastest semifinal time with 20.01, with Wallace Spearmon of the U.S. (20.02), Christophe Lemaitre of France (20.03), Churandy Martina of the Netherlands (20.17), Anaso Jobodwana of South Africa (20.27), Warren Weir of Jamaica (20.28) and Alex Quinonez of Ecuador (20.37) also through into Thursday’s showdown Michael Mathieu of the Bahamas was disqualified for a false start in the third semi-final.
