Woman quarter-miler Sini Jose, discus thrower Seema Antil and distance runner Sunil Kumar completed doubles as the four-day Federation Cup athletics meet concluded at the Birsa Munda Stadium here on Tuesday.

On a rainy day, Jose scored a commanding victory in the 200 metres, to add to her 400m title won earlier, while Sunil added the 10,000 metres gold to the 5000m title he had claimed on the opening day.

Sunil Kumar was close to his best in the 10,000 metres, where the absence of National record holder Surendra Kumar Singh was conspicuous.

Sunil timed 29:30.81 while winning comfortably from Suresh Kumar (29:33.40).

Seema Antil, who had earlier won the discus title, took the shot put gold on Tuesday with a throw of 14.30m.

Preeja Sreedharan avenged her 5000m defeat by edging Kavita Raut in the 10,000 metres.

Both the 800 metres produced keen contests, with Prakash Verma, fourth at the last Asian championships, coming first in the men's section in 1:48.59, and Sushma Devi winning the women's gold in 2:06.51.

Once again, Sinimole Paulose came second, as she had done in the 1500m earlier, clocking 2:07.90.

Kerala topped the medals standings with five gold and two bronze medals followed by Haryana (2-2-0) and Jharkhand (2-0-1)
