Rich haul by Indian Masters

India topped the medals tally in the 16th Asian Masters athletic championship held at Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) from December 6 to 12, according to a press release from the Masters Association here.

India took part in almost all events and all age categories and returned with a rich haul of 349 medals including 112 gold, 120 silver and 117 bronze surpassing countries like China and Japan.

Around 19 countries took part in the championship. India won the overall title besting Sri Lanka 187 medals and Japan 176 medals.
