Haryana ends Kerala's 13-year reign as overall champion

Kerala's under-18 stars, Jijin Vijayan in the boys' 200m, and M.D. Thara in girls' 3000m, broke National records in the 27th National junior athletics championship at Ranchi on Friday but Kerala lost its 13-year winning run in the event.

The champion from 1998, Kerala finished second this time (23 golds) with Haryana taking the overall team title for the first time with 27 golds.
