Indian athletes continued to perform pathetically as they once again managed nothing better than a silver and a bronze medal in the second leg of the Asian Grand Prix meet at Kunshan, China, on Thursday.

Ghamanda Ram (800m, silver, 1:48.17) and Seema Antil (women's discus, bronze, 50.64m) were again India's medal winners.

Ghamanda, though he returned an improved timing in the 800m, could not match the finishing power of Iranian Sajad Moradi, the Asian Games champion, and settled for the silver in 1:48.17. Seema Antil, though she also improved her performance compared to the first leg (49.77m) was no match for the second-rung Chinese, Yang Fei (59.26m) .

Mayookha Johny was the best Indian performer for the second meet running, producing an identical 13.71m that she had registered in Jiaxing.
