Jamaica's double Olympic sprint champion Usain Bolt walked away uninjured from a minor road accident early on Sunday, press here reported.

Bolt, also the world record holder in the 100 and 200m sprints, was involved in an accident in a busy part of Jamaica's capital called Half Way Tree just after 5:15 a.m. on his way home from a party.

The 25-year-old, who has just returned to the Caribbean island after racing three times in Europe over recent weeks, reportedly suffered no injuries and went home to rest.

Former 100m world record holder Asafa Powell, who has also been racing on the European circuit, was on the scene at the time but was travelling in another vehicle.
