Not so fast, Usain. You’re not a “living legend” yet.
That’s the verdict of IOC President Jacques Rogge, who said Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt needs to prove his legendary status over more than two Olympics.
Rogge said Bolt’s status should be judged at the end of his career, noting that Carl Lewis won medals in four straight Olympics.
Rogge said “Let him participate in three, four games, and he can be a legend. Already he’s an icon.”
Rogge spoke a few hours before Bolt completed an unprecedented sprint sweep, becoming the first athlete to win the 100 and 200 metres at consecutive Olympics. Bolt took the 200m in 19.32 seconds, four days after he defended his 100m title with victory in 9.63.

Bolt is a legend but rogge has his own ulterior motives such as racking up millions of dollars for IOC using usain's name. That's why rogge wants usain to participate in more olympics and amass even more millions for IOC. He's afraid usain bolt may retire if he is already given the 'legend'tag.
usain is a legend .Having won both 100 and 200m sprints he has proved it. He is a real icon and i am proud to be a fan of the fastest man in this world. HATS OFF
Mind Game to discourage Usain Bolt getting Jacques is getting paid too much by rich countries.
Why not IOC Presidnet give the devil its dues OVER uSAIN BOLT WINNING BOTH THE TITLES AT ONE GO,thus creating a record for himself, and he has mile to go and it is possible that this ICon may become Legend ONE DAY IN future olympics as well.Let us all pat the rising star of Jamaica which he richly deserves.
