J. Arun Kanna’s six for 42 went in vain as Cosmopolitan Club beat Egmore RC by 41 runs in a third division ‘A’ zone encounter of the TNCA league recently.

Kannan, Santhosh shine

In a IV division ‘A’ match, S. Kannan’s unbeaten 138 not out helped Kohinoor XI register a six-wicket victory over Rising Stars. For the latter, S. Santhosh scored 110 before retiring hurt

Vikas excels

S. Vikas (four for 14) ensured FSCA’s 86-run win over Kedar CA in a match in the RSJ-SSCA under-11 Invitation Cup cricket tournament being organised by the Seven Star Cricket Association.

The scores :

SSCA 94 for nine in 24.3 overs lost to Khan CA 96 for one in 12.2 overs (Parau 27).

City teams win

City-II defeated Districts-II on the basis of first innings lead on the final day of their TNCA round-robin under-19 cricket tournament here.

In another tie, City-III prevailed over Districts-I on first innings lead.

Districts-II 155 in 72.1 overs & 107 for four in 21 overs (C. Deepak Siddarth 33, S. Sujay 39 not out) drew with City-II 252 for two in 90 overs (M. Adithyan 69, Akshay V. Srinivasan 71, S. Selva 35, R. Jayachandran 25). City-II won on first innings lead.

City-III 302 & 22 for three in 14 overs (A. Aldrin three for 10) drew with Districts-I 253 in 78.3 overs (A. Jerome 42, Mohammed Saif 49, K. Anok Raju 69 n.o., R. Vineeth four for 52, M. Affan Khader three for 72). City-III won on first innings lead.
