China reclaimed the Uber Cup on Saturday after defeating defending champion South Korea 3-0 in the final.
South Korea, which beat China in the last Uber Cup final at Kuala Lumpur two years ago, put up a good fight through Sung Ji-hyun in the first singles that lasted 90 minutes. However, Wang Yihan recovered after dropping the first game to win 14-21, 22-20, 21-13.
The Chinese pair of Yu Yang and Wang Xiaoli also faced some stiff resistance from Kim Min-jung and Ha Jung-eun before prevailing 21-15, 21-13.
Wang Xin then made sure China won the coveted women’s title for the 12th time when she beat Bae Youn-joo 21-10, 21-16.
