From deploying to a conflict zone to coordinate the rescue, the government spared no efforts in evacuating Indians from Yemen as fighting raged between the Houthi rebels and the Yemen government supported by aerial bombardment from the Saudi-led coalition. The efforts were so effective that over 26 countries including the U.S. and U.K. sought India’s help in rescuing their citizens.
