Workshop on entrepreneurship

Nandini Voice for the Deprived will be organising a one-day programme on self-employment for underprivileged youth on July 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Adyar. The objective of the workshop is to motivate youngsters from lower-income group or who are visually-impaired and differently-abled to start their own enterprises.

The participants will be oriented about opportunities, management of marketing and finance and others factors.

Case studies of successful entrepreneurs will be discussed. Those who are aged between 18 and 25 and who have passed Class X and with a family income of less than Rs.6,000 per month are eligible to participate in the programme. No course fee is collected.

The last date for registration is July 4.

A maximum of 40 participants will be admitted. The session will be conducted by N.S. Venkataraman, trustee of the organisation. For details, contact 2491 6037.
