Swayamvaram for differently abled people

Shree Geetha Bhavan Trust, Gopalapuram, is conducting swayamvaram and marriage for differently abled people. People who do not have any deficiency and willing to marry differently abled person, can also participate in the swayamvaram.

Participants, after choosing the partner during the swayamvaram, will be given time to contact their parents and well wishers. After the consent from the selected couple, counseling with professionals from legal field and as well with gynecologist, psychologist and general physician will be arranged. Sign interpreter will be available during swayamvarm and counseling.

Marriages will be registered as per Hindu Marriages Act and Special Marriages Act.

Those who are willing to participate should collect the form from Shree Geetha Bhavan Trust, 334, Avvai Shanmugam Salai, Gopalapuram, or at Tamil Nadu Handicapped Federation Charitable Trust and submit it on or before August 20 with particulars such as first marriage certificate from the VAO, medical certificate, age, residence proof, community certificate, educational qualification, photos as required for registering the marriage. Swayamvaram date is September 1 and counseling will be on September 22. Marriage will be conducted on November 8 or 9.
