Malcode using URL shorteners
Internet security firm Symantec finds a growing momentum of social engineering attacks on Skype and other instant messaging applications over the last week. A release from Symantec stated that this time most attacks used Google’s goo.gl URL shortening service in their campaign, and starting September 29 over 2.5 clicks have been monitored. The attack uses the common social engineering tactic of posting a link to instant messaging applications for a potential victim to follow.
A resource guide for LGBT inclusivity
A new resource guide for employers, titled ‘Creating Inclusive Workplaces for LGBT Employees in India’, was launched by IT companies IBM and Google, investment bank Goldman Sachs and CSR firm Community Business. This publication highlights the business case for addressing the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees and provides the cultural and legal context for LGBT issues in India.
