Updates on Google Drive

Earlier this week, Google announced Google Drive updates for Apple iOS users and those using its Android mobile operating system. A blog post by Anil Sabharwal, senior product manager, Google Drive Team, announced that those using the drive app on their iOS device could now also edit Google documents, just as they can with the Android app.

From the iPhone or iPad, one can create a new document, edit an existing one or format text. And just like on the computer, the user would be able to see other people’s edits instantly as they’re made, he wrote. Other improvements to the iOS drive app include being able to watch Google presentations on the iPhone or iPad, including speaker notes, full-screen mode and the ability to swipe between slides. Updates for Android phones and tablets include allowing users to add comments, reply to existing comments and view tables in Google documents.
