New version of Android allows USB audio output

The upcoming version of Android - Version L - will allow audio output via a Micro USB connection.

That’s potentially good news for music lovers who are not happy with the sound quality from their smartphone’s headset jack, reports the Androidpolice.com .

A USB-OTG cable makes it possible to connect the phone’s USB port with a small external sound card containing its own digital analog converter, amplifier and port for headphones and other sound systems.

These components are usually of higher quality than those that came with the smartphone, meaning they deliver better sound.
