Internet has been identified as a major source of information by over 90 per cent of the respondents, says a study conducted by the Chennai-based AssessPeople Pvt. Ltd. that develops and validates several job specific abilities and soft skill assessments.
The study is one of a series of research initiatives undertaken by AssessPeople to provide insights into the expectation profile of various segments of students who pass out of campus and are eligible for employment (referred to as GenNext).
According to the 2011 edition of the Future Workforce Expectations study, R. Kannan, Chief Executive Officer of the company, said the study also indicated that many of the employees recruited prefer formal training from the respective companies.
Similarly the National Capital Region (NCR) has emerged as the most preferred work location followed by Bangalore and Pune.
