During the recent World Cup finals in South Africa Paul the Octopus was one of the most unlikeliest of stars.

Originally used only to predict the German scores, the octopus, who lives in an aquarium in Oberhausen, became famous when he predicted every German result correctly.

He was then given the task of predicting the final and was again spot-on, giving him an overall success rate of eight out of eight.

A Brazilian software developer has now turned him into an app for the Apple iPhone.

The Ask the Octopus programme lets people who are undecided come to a decision without having to take the decision themselves, as Paul the Octopus does it.

Whether you want to go movies or the theatre, want to eat sushi or pizza or want to wear a dress or skirt, just ask Paul. For one dollar Paul will provide the answer.
