“Young consumers are increasingly using Facebook for communication, socialising and entertaining. The launch of the Nokia Asha 205 responds to this growing demand and gives a unique option for consumers at an affordable price point”, Viral Oza, Director Marketing, Nokia India, told reporters here on Tuesday.
Kevin D’Souza, Country Growth Manager, Facebook India, said Facebook has 65 million active users in this country.
Nokia has also included ‘Slam’ feature in Asha 205. Slam allows consumers to share multimedia content like photos, music and video with nearby friends almost instantly, Nokia officials said.
Slam works with most Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without the need to pair devices, and without the recipient needing to also have Slam, they said.
“In just a few clicks, people can ‘Slam’ their content to another device faster than Bluetooth alone and without consuming internet data”, Nokia said.

Could be considered as an excellent step taken by Nokia that too at an
affordable price.I think it again strives its way back to be in to the
hands of the most of teenage users
It is very nice step taken by Nokia. Because there is many people who doesn't afford to buy handset above 5000. But in this time there is very competitive situation in the market of mobile set. And it is very late to launch to this set. Nokia is very reliable company in India. But he does not take step earlier. And when this company launch a handset there are many handset of the various company has been launched. So there should be flexible rule of this company.
Nokia is trying to catch up. But in its effort, this one is good. Consumers are lucky. Many of us have punished Nokia for their exorbitant pricing , of late 1990s and up to 2006. All such sins are getting repaid now. Nokia learns lesson late
